KINTSUGI

I held my entire universe
In a small ceramic bowl,
Every bit of who I am
And everything I know.

I brought the bowl to you
To show you what I’d found,
Your clumsy hands, you dropped it,
And it shattered on the ground.

I cut my hands on jagged shards
But I glued the pieces together,
Scooped my universe back inside
And saw it had changed for the better.

Once all the mess was cleared away,
You finally came back
But all you had to say to me,
Was that you could see the cracks.

  1. So sad that people act that way sometimes. I really like this poem, keep making universe better and ignore the haters :)
